Cryptosporidium : A Drinking Water Supply Problem 
Several waterborne outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis have occurred over the past ten years in the United States and a great deal of concern has been raised about this organism and drinking water supplies.

 

E. coli 0157:H7 in drinking water -- US EPA
Fecal coliforms are bacteria that are associated with human or animal wastes.  They usually live in human or animal intestinal tracts, and their presence in drinking water is a strong indication of recent sewage or animal waste contamination.

The Tampa chapter of the National Audubon Society
The Tampa chapter of the National Audubon Society is a group dedicated to conserving
 and protecting wildlife systems with an emphasis on birds and other native wildlife. 

The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary 
The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is the largest non-profit wild bird hospital in the country
 and focuses on the rescue, repair, recuperation and release of sick or injured wild birds.
 The Sanctuary is located at 18328 Gulf Blvd., Indian Rocks Beach. There are more than
 600 wild birds living at any given time in the sanctuary, including pelicans, cormorants,
 white egrets and birds of prey. No admission is charged, though 
donations are appreciated. Open 9 a.m.-dusk daily.  727-391-6211
